What is the volume/weight of the retail coffee bags?

Our retail coffee is available in 12oz bags (340g). We also have 'sample size' 4oz bags that are available for retail upon special request. To request sample-sized bags, please email us at: info@smiletigercoffee.com for info, availability and pricing.


Can you grind my coffee for me?

Yes, we are happy to grind your coffee free of charge. If you are placing an online order, simply add your request (and please tell us how you brew your coffee and/or the equipment you use) in the notes section of your shopping cart. This will help us to determine the appropriate grind setting for your order. 


What grind sizes are recommended for various brewing devices?

This mostly depends on what type of grinder you are using. Settings vary from grinder to grinder.

We recommend:

Espresso: Very fine
Moka pot: Fine
Keurig/Aeropress: Medium/fine
Drip: Medium
Filter / Pour Overr: Medium/coarse
French Press/Cold Brew: Coarse

How fresh is the coffee when it's delivered?

All beans are packaged and shipped within a maximum of 7 days from roasting. As a small-batch coffee roaster, we roast, package and ship to order. On the back of every bag, you'll notice a small white sticker that displays the batch roast date on it, which allows you to keep track of its freshness.


How long does coffee stay fresh?

Try to consume your coffee within one month. After a month, coffee tends to lose its aromatics and degasses very quickly resulting in a flat, bitter cup. Keeping your coffee sealed in a dark, cool place will help maintain its freshness until it is ready for consumption.


Where do I find information about your coffees?

We like to be as transparent as possible. All of the information about our coffees are available here on our website. Go to our coffee section under “Shop" and click the coffee you want to learn about. The supplementary information is listed alongside each product. If you have specific questions, you are also welcome to email us at info@smiletigercoffee.com.

 

Delivery & Shipping

How do I receive my order?

Orders placed for delivery within a 50km radius will be delivered by local courier. Local deliveries occur on weekdays only.

For orders and deliveries outside of our local 50km radius, we ship via Canada Post or Purolator. You will receive a Canada Post or Purolator tracking link once the order has been shipped. We ship within 2 business days after the order is placed. Please allow for an additional 1-2 business days during the month of December.

We ship anywhere in Canada, and shipping costs will vary depending on the order value, weight, and shipping location. Some orders may include complimentary shipping depending on order value, which you'll notice upon checkout. We are also happy to ship to USA or internationally upon special request (international shipping rates will apply). Please contact us at info@smiletigercoffee.com for shipping outside of Canada.


When can I expect my order to arrive?

Local Deliveries

We specially roast your coffee fresh to order! We currently roast on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Place your order by 9AM on those days in order to receive your order within 2 business days. Local deliveries occur on weekdays only. Our Roasting Operations are closed on weekends and holidays.

Shipping 

We specially roast your coffee fresh to order! Orders are shipped via Canada Post within 2 business days after the order is placed, so your coffee is guaranteed to be as fresh as possible. Please allow for a additional business day delay for government holidays. You will receive a tracking number once Canada Post as marked the order as accepted. Please refer to your tracking number for estimated delivery time and updates to your delivery.

How much does local delivery and shipping cost?

We offer both digital and physical gift cards for online and/or in-store purchases. You can purchase a gift card here. If purchasing a gift card online, you will receive an email within 12 hours that includes the gift card QR code. Please note that the gift card can take up to 12 hours to receive in your email inbox due to Shopify processing times. Please also check your Spam/Junk and/or 'Promotions' folders just in case. If you do not receive your gift card after 12 hours, you can contact us for assistance at: info@smiletigercoffee.com.

How can I make a donation request?

Please email us at: info@smiletigercoffee.com to ask for a Donation Request form. Donation Request forms must be completed in full and submitted before we can review the request. We do our best to stay active and involved in our community and help out as much as we possibly can. Please note that due to the high volume of donation requests we receive, we are unable to oblige all requests but we thank you for your consideration. If we are unable to provide a donation, we encourage you to reach out again in the future.


Can I purchase oat milk online?

Minor Figures Oatmilk is available in single cartons or packs of 6 online under our Shop > Coffee section at the very bottom of the page. You can choose to have it delivered or choose a pickup time.
