What is the volume/weight of the retail coffee bags?
Our retail coffee is available online and for purchase in-store in 12oz bags (340g).
We also offer 5lb and 'sample size' 4oz bags for retail in select varieties, which are available for online order only, listed under the 'Coffee' dropdown menu on our website.
All retail coffee comes in wholebean form unless grinding is requested.
Can you grind my coffee for me?
Yes, we are happy to grind your coffee free of charge.
For in-store Purchases: If you are making a purchase in-store, kindly ask the barista to grind the coffee at time of payment. Please let the barista know how you are brewing your coffee so the appropriate grind setting can be determined.
For online Orders: There is a grind type dropdown menu listed on each coffee product page. If you aren't sure which grind type to request, please tell us in the 'Notes' section (at checkout) how you brew your coffee and/or the equipment you use. This will help us to determine the appropriate grind setting for your order.
What grind sizes are recommended for various brewing devices?
This mostly depends on what type of grinder you are using. Settings vary from grinder to grinder. If you'd like us to provide you with a specific recommendation, please feel welcome to send us an email at: info@smiletigercoffee.com.

How fresh is the coffee when it's delivered?
All beans are packaged and shipped within a maximum of 7 days from roasting. As a small-batch coffee roaster, we roast, package and ship to order. On the back of every bag, you'll notice a small white sticker that displays the batch roast date on it, which allows you to keep track of its freshness.
How long does coffee stay fresh?
Try to consume your coffee within one month. After a month, coffee tends to lose its aromatics and degasses very quickly resulting in a flat, bitter cup. Most retail coffee available on grocery store shelves is typically already 3-12 months in age. Keep your coffee sealed in a dark, cool place will help maintain its freshness until it is ready for consumption.
Where do I find information about your coffees?
We like to be as transparent as possible about where and how we source our coffee. All of the information about our coffees are available here on our website. Go to our coffee section under “Shop" and click the coffee you want to learn about. The supplementary information is listed alongside each product. Delivery & Shipping
How do I receive my order?
All online coffee orders (including subscriptions) are specially roasted to order so that your coffee is as fresh as possible at the time you receive it. Orders are delivered either by Canada Post or local courier, and the delivery method may fluctuate as we use both couriers interchangeably based on the volume of orders we receive in any particular week. It is not uncommon to receive one order by Canada Post, and a future order by local delivery. We have ensured that the delivery costs and timelines will remain the same regardless of the method of delivery.
Once your order is prepared for shipping or delivery, you will receive tracking info by email (Canada Post) or text (local courier). Please ensure to include both your email and phone # to the shipping information if you would like to receive tracking info.
When can I expect my order to arrive?
Smile Tiger is a small-batch coffee roaster - this means that we specially roast your coffee fresh to order! Please allow 2-7 business days to receive your order once it has been placed and paid for. From this timeline, 1-3 days business are specifically dedicated to shipping. Please note that orders will not be shipped until they are paid for in full.
Our online order volumes also fluctuate throughout the year and week to week, so the exact delivery date may also fluctuate as higher order volumes mean that more time is required for us to roast, prepare and ship your order. Due to this, please keep in mind that delivery times are not guaranteed to be the exact same for every order.
During particularly high volume times of the year (December or sale days, for example), please expect an additional 1-2 business days to receive your order.
If you need coffee urgently or if it is required for a hard deadline, we also have fresh coffee available for retail (12oz bags) in our cafe/storefront.

How much does shipping & delivery cost?
Orders placed for delivery within a 50km radius will be delivered by local courier. Delivery eligibility requires an order value of $20 or more. Orders under $20 can be picked up at our storefront. Local delivery prices are below:

Orders $100.00 and over: FREE
All other provinces:

Where can I purchase gift cards from?
We offer both digital and physical gift cards for online and/or in-store purchases. You can purchase a gift card here. If purchasing a gift card online, you will receive an email within 12 hours that includes the gift card QR code. Please note that the gift card can take up to 12 hours to receive in your email inbox due to Shopify processing times. Please also check your Spam/Junk and/or 'Promotions' folders just in case. If you do not receive your gift card after 12 hours, you can contact us for assistance at: info@smiletigercoffee.com.
How can I make a donation request?
Please email us at: info@smiletigercoffee.com to ask for a Donation Request form. Donation Request forms must be completed in full and submitted before we can review the request. We do our best to stay active and involved in our community and help out as much as we possibly can. Please note that due to the high volume of donation requests we receive, we are unable to oblige all requests but we thank you for your consideration. If we are unable to provide a donation, we encourage you to reach out again in the future.
Can I purchase oat milk online?
Minor Figures Oatm*lk is available in single cartons or packs of 6 online under our Shop > Coffee section at the very bottom of the page. You can choose to have it delivered or choose a pickup time.
